Below we bring encouragement for persistent prayer for the diocesan synod and an invitation to join the Network of Intercessors sent to all parishes of the Plzeň diocese on April 3, 2025:
Dear colleagues and fellow collaborators in pastoral work,
In the diocese, the II. stage of the diocesan synod has already fully commenced (synoda.bip.cz/timeline). Therefore, I would like to encourage all parishes to persistent prayer for our common search.
To support the communal prayer for the synod, which has long been taking place in many parishes also through the use of the Prayer of the Diocesan Synod at the end of Sunday intercessions (synoda.bip.cz/modlitba), we now want to offer a thematic "synodal intercession" each month. You can include it at your discretion in the appropriate month, for example, in Sunday intercessions, or use it on any other occasion.

I also ask you to encourage your parishioners to consider joining the Network of Intercessors. Just write to synoda@bip.cz and the synod team will send interested individuals more specific prayer intentions and updates from the synod's "kitchen" once a month (more at synoda.bip.cz/primluvy).
It is still possible to enhance your personal prayer with suggestions for daily quiet moments (synoda.bip.cz/rozjimani), or to personally or collectively join the penitential prayer vigil (synoda.bip.cz/vigilie).
We would also greatly appreciate any encouraging or critical feedback that would help us better accompany the entire synodal process.
